There were a handful of marquee women’s lacrosse contests that occurred this afternoon and evening, and below are their outcomes and summaries.
WNE 21, Lasell 8: Kaitlynn Stevens matched a career-best eight goals as the Golden Bears defeated the Lasers and picked up their 15th consecutive victory and extended their regular-season unbeaten streak to 21 games, which dates back to last season. Bridget Doherty and Taylor Dooley each netted two goals for Lasell.
No. 3 Amherst 8, Springfield 2: Priscilla Tyler netted four goals and Christy Forrest deflected two shots as the Lord Jeffs defeated the Pride in Springfield. Connie Nielsen and Kelly Gallo each scored one goal for Springfield.
